Is it true that college students drowned in campus loans?
Fan Zeyi, a 20-year-old student at a foreign studies university in Beijing, will be promoted to junior year. However, on August 3, during the summer vacation in his hometown of Jilin, Fan Zeyi left a suicide note and his family immediately called the police. Two days later, the police found a man's body in a river 30 kilometers away from Fan Ze's hometown. After DNA comparison, on August 16, the police issued a "death certificate" to confirm that the deceased was Fan Zeyi and died of "drowning".

Fan Ze was deeply involved in campus loans before his death. Fan Zeyi's father, Fan Lijun, told reporters that Fan Zeyi's mobile phone card was restored. After reading the information, he found that Fan Zeyi had borrowed money from several peer-to-peer lending platforms before, but all of them were invisible "usury", with a total loan amount of 6.5438+0.3 million yuan, of which one loan amount was 654.38+0.65438+0.000 yuan, but it needed to be repaid after one week.

In addition, Fan Ze was verbally threatened by debt collectors many times before his death, saying that he would publish the news that Fan Ze-yi "did not pay his debts" in the post bars and forums of his school, and threatened to tell school leaders and counselors to hurt his family. In this regard, Fan Lijun said, "Children are forced (dead) by these debt collectors."

On August 18, the reporter learned from Fan Lijun, the father of Fan Zeyi, that on the evening of August 17, the jiaohe city Public Security Bureau had accepted the case of "Fan Zeyi's personal safety was threatened" and sent a receipt to Fan Lijun. "The Public Security Bureau has set up a task force to investigate my son's death and campus loan, hoping to have a result as soon as possible." However, he said that even after his son committed suicide by leaving a suicide note on the campus loan was exposed, on the morning of August 18, he still received debt collection calls and text messages from multiple lending platforms.

Leave a suicide note before drowning, which says "I can't bear it."

Reporter: What happened on the day when Fan Zeyi lost contact?

Fan Lijun: It's August 3rd. At noon, he went out. In the afternoon, he called his mobile phone, but no one answered. His family began to look for him. In the evening, I saw on the table in the living room, in a conspicuous position, the child left a handwritten suicide note for our family. His mother and I came back from outside and called the police immediately.

Reporter: When did the police give you the news of Fan Zeyi?

Fan Lijun: On August 5th, it was said that my son's body was found near Dajiazi River in Nong Xin Street, jiaohe city, which was later confirmed by DNA identification. That place is more than 30 kilometers away from home. We speculate that the child should have jumped into the river and chased the Jiaohe River, followed the water and the body dripped past. ...

Reporter: What's in the suicide note found by the family?

Fan Lijun: He just said he was sorry for us and made us suffer. "One step wrong, one step wrong." He said it shouldn't be like this. "If you can do it again, it won't happen again." He also mentioned that he was "unbearable" ...

Reporter: Do you know what he means by making mistakes and being "unbearable"?

Fan Lijun: I didn't know when I first saw it. It was not until the evening of August 3 that I received a large number of debt collection messages and phone calls, only to know that my child had borrowed money from several campus loan platforms before and fell into the trap of campus loan. Maybe after my son disappeared, the phone couldn't get through, so they called my mother and me.

The drowning students were "owed" debts10.3 million yuan.

Reporter: What do these debt collectors say?

Fan Lijun: There are all kinds of threats, saying that my son Fan Ze will catch him as soon as he owes money, and that he will go to his school in Beijing to find him when school starts. These threatening phone calls and text messages never stop. On the afternoon of August 17, I received 104 debt collection messages.

Reporter: How much does Fan Ze owe?

Fan Lijun: Because the mobile phone was always with me when the child's body was found, I can't open it now, but the mobile phone card can still be used. Insert the card into other mobile phones and look at those debt collection (information). It is found that children may have borrowed money from several campus loan platforms as early as 20 16. These platforms should be returned to 800 yuan, 1000 Yuan, 6544.

Reporter: Did he borrow all these?

Fan Lijun: A large part should be interests. That kind of campus loan is a form of usury and profitable. On a loan WeChat (public) account, I saw that the child only borrowed 1 100 yuan in seven days, but it said "fast credit review fee" 100 yuan, "account management fee" 394 yuan and "interest fee" 6 yuan. Together, the money is 65438+.

Reporter: Did Fan Zeyi do anything unusual before the accident?

Fan Lijun: Because his mother and I are both working in other places, besides internship, he goes back to his hometown and lives at home with his grandmother. His grandmother once said that his cell phone rang many times a day, but the children told her that it belonged to her classmates. Usually he believes in children, and no one thought of it.

Reporter: Did he tell you before that he needed money?

Fan Lijun: On June 30th, he asked me for tuition. What's more, when he calls occasionally, he says he wants to buy something for one or two hundred yuan. Basically, we will give it to him. To tell the truth, there is only one child at home, and we are not harsh on his pocket money.

I want to work in a five-star hotel after graduation.

Reporter: What kind of personality is Fan Zeyi?

Fan Lijun: The child is cheerful. My mother and I work outside, but we call each other almost every day. When I call, I will ask him about school or home, how he studies and how he eats. Just two days before the accident, in August 1, he told me and his mother that he had got his driver's license. He learned to drive in his hometown this summer vacation, and he was quite happy to get a driver's license.

Reporter: I didn't mention campus loan on the phone?

Fan Lijun: No, if he told us that he "owed" so much money, we would definitely help him pay it back, but he didn't mention that children are usually very sensible and filial, which is forced by those debt collectors. Now that the children are gone, those debt collectors keep changing their numbers and threatening us by calling and texting.

Reporter: Didn't you tell the debt collector that Fan Zeyi drowned?

Fan Lijun: No, we are not in the mood to talk to them after such an accident. He is the only grandson in the family, his mother and my only son. Now his grandmother and mother are in a bad mood, and they all let their relatives take turns watching him for fear of another accident.

Reporter: How did Fan Ze plan the future before the accident?

Fan Lijun: He majored in hotel management and told us that he wanted to work in a five-star hotel after graduation. But now, the children are gone ... I said about children, hoping to take our children's affairs as an example, so that college students can take a warning, don't get caught in campus loans again, and don't be cheated again.

The interest on a campus loan is 500 a week, which is worse than robbing money. The relevant departments should really take care of it.
