Xu Hai College of China University of Mining and Technology is an independent college established by the new mechanism of China University of Mining and Technology. Established in 1999 and approved by the Ministry of Education in 2003. It is one of the earliest independent colleges in Jiangsu Province.
Located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, the College is the central city of Huaihai Economic Zone, a famous historical and cultural city, and enjoys the reputation of "one city with green hills and half a city with lakes".
The College runs a school in Wenchang Campus of China University of Mining and Technology, which is located in the southern scenic spot of Xuzhou, adjacent to the beautiful Yunlong Mountain, yunlong lake and the lush Quanshan National Forest Park. It is located in the downtown area of the city, with complete shopping, catering, leisure and other life service facilities and convenient transportation.
Relying on the strong discipline and teaching advantages of China University of Mining and Technology, the college runs a school. China University of Mining and Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Emergency Management Department and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It has successively entered the national "2 1 1 Project", "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform Project" and the national "double-class" construction universities.
The school is one of the first universities in China with the right to award doctoral and master's degrees, and has a graduate school approved by the state. After long-term development and construction, it has formed a discipline system and a multi-disciplinary university-running pattern, which focuses on engineering, excavates characteristics, and coordinates the development of science, engineering, culture, management, law, teaching and art.
In recent years, according to the idea of "strengthening industry, enriching science, promoting literature, expanding medicine and cultivating new ideas", the school has adjusted the discipline layout, optimized the discipline ecology and continuously enhanced its ability to serve the country's scientific and technological independence and cultivate high-level talents. The school has more than 3,200 faculty members, including academicians of the two academies 15 (including external teachers). Among 1989 full-time teachers, 486 are employed in full-time positions, 862 are employed in deputy senior positions, 473 are doctoral tutors, 65,438 are master tutors, and 65,438 are teachers with doctoral degrees.
