A few days later, I was most impressed by visiting MPCR laboratory in Peking University, and after a few days, I listened to-instead of watching-the lectures given by the laboratory director and the founder, Mr. Program.

People say that Mr. Programmer's success lies in his knowledge and patriotic enthusiasm. But the more important factor should be his fighting spirit and high spirits. The program teacher is an extremely energetic person. According to himself, when he first went to university (Harbin Institute of Technology), 170, he weighed 99 Jin. He exercises every day, and his lung activity actually reaches 6000+. Throughout the speech, he did not prepare a manuscript, but he was passionate in one go; The teaching assistant had to bring him another Mike and put it at the other end of the long lecture table, because he never sat down, but paced up and down on the platform like a lion in a cage for a long time. He seems to be fidgeting about the current situation in China, ready to break through all kinds of constraints and shock the world with his own actions.

The main direction of the laboratory led by Mr. Programmer is to develop MPCR chips. MPCR is a SoC system, that is, a single-chip system, which integrates almost all chips such as cpu, gpu, South Bridge and North Bridge on one chip. This is rare in the world. This system can be summed up in one word: small. Small size, low cost and slow speed. The size of the motherboard is only about the size of a netbook, which makes this system can be made into a notebook without much effort. According to the laboratory researcher (doctor) who visited the laboratory, the cost of this notebook model is about 1000 yuan at present, and it is expected to drop again after mass production.

There is a sign hanging in front of the laboratory, which says "My Chinese Core". The program teacher said that he personally hung up this sign. When I hung up, everyone cried. Everyone found a reason to fight for so long: I, for the motherland.

The program teacher said: When you connect your work with the current situation and needs of the country, you will have endless motivation. "Now foreigners don't need X-rays and CT, they all use nuclear magnetic resonance, because the radiation of X-rays and CT is too great, which is not good for patients and doctors. The technology of nuclear magnetic resonance is foreign, and a set of machines needs tens of millions of imports, which can only be used by larger hospitals in big cities; Smaller hospitals and rural areas can only take X-rays. And if we develop our own nuclear magnetic resonance oscillator chip, we can reduce the price of a system to millions and hundreds of thousands, and it can be used in rural areas! How many places in the countryside have no schools now? How many places don't have strictly trained doctors? Using our system (low-cost SoC plus video hardware decoder), the quality of video transmission is very high. How many distance schools can we build and how many rural students can enjoy quality education? How many operations that could not be performed in rural areas before can be broadcast live by video in the future, and doctors in large hospitals can be invited for remote guidance, so they can be performed in rural areas? …………"

Finally, the author still has some worries: At present, the purely domestic computer system in China has only reached the level of foreign countries twenty or thirty years ago. Once there is a special need, we will face a huge generation gap with foreign countries if we want to realize the localization of national computer 100%! When the author visited the laboratory and asked the researcher about it, the researcher actually gave the answer that "this system is mainly oriented to the low-end market such as libraries, not the family or scientific research fields, and there is no need to enter the high-end market". I am deeply sorry about this.
