Some candidates just don't know that this is stress interview, but they just guess from other angles-does the interviewer like himself or not? Why don't you like yourself? And you can also find a lot of "evidence" that drives you to the wall.
I see. This is stress interview.
When a candidate walks into the interview site and feels stressed, whether the interviewer intends to conduct a stress test on himself or not, it should be regarded as that the interviewer is conducting a stress test. Only by understanding this first can we pass the stress test without being caught in the middle. We have met many applicants. When we saw the first environmental pressure, we suddenly made a surprised expression and even blurted out, "Wow, so many people." Then nervous, language and behavior deformation, speech logic began to chaos. Seeing the interviewer's serious expression, unfriendly way of asking questions, asking sensitive topics, stimulating topics, dilemma topics, pressing step by step, suddenly nervous, spraying blood, blushing, thinking short-circuited, or refusing to answer in disgust. Radicals will also ask the interviewer questions, or directly challenge the interviewer, or even leave. None of this will pass the stress test. Some people will be too nervous about changing the interview format, from asking questions to written tests, or watching short films and other stress tests, and switch slowly, confused and unable to answer anything. It's okay to be moderately nervous when encountering stress tests, and the interview itself is moderately nervous. The key is to understand that this is a stress test, so that you can deal with it correctly.
Relax and answer honestly.
When you know that the interviewer is conducting a stress test on you, you will understand that the interviewer mainly measures your ability to withstand stress, not whether the question itself answers full marks. So the correct way to deal with it is to relax and answer sincerely.
In the face of pressure, it is normal for the expression to change, indicating a quick response, but don't exaggerate the expression, so as to control your emotions and prevent them from spreading out of control. You should look at it this way: no matter how unfriendly the interview site is and how weird and sharp the questions are, aren't they all stress tests? Isn't it just to test my ability to withstand pressure? Know yourself and yourself, and confidence will come naturally. You won't be nervous, disgusted or leave. The rest is to deal with it calmly.
A sincere answer itself reflects a calm response, and the result of a calm response is definitely a calm answer. In the interviewer's opinion, as long as you can treat yourself calmly, you will pass the exam, and you won't expect your answers to be satisfactory, or many questions have no answers. As long as you are not overly nervous, you must maintain certain logical thinking ability and fully express the perspective of the problem and the methods and paths to solve the problem.
Sincere answer, of course, can't lie. Sometimes, in order to pursue perfection or interview skills too much, candidates answer too tactfully, and the results are exposed when asked by the interviewer.
Change pressure into power
In daily work, changes in the environment will instantly give you a kind of pressure. For example, someone suddenly asks you an embarrassing topic and exposes your feelings in public. This happens from time to time in interpersonal communication and customer service. If you are a master, the more stress interview you are, the more exciting you will be, because without pressure, there will be no motivation to fight back.
The interview site is also a battlefield. If you are highly excited and passionate, and face the stress test, your presentation will surpass yourself and be wonderful. There is no rehearsal for life and work. For some people, only one is more exciting than the other. The premise is that the stress test questions given by the interviewer are difficult and high-level. Here, I give an example of the author's own dilemma: reaction presentation in stress testing.
More than ten years ago, when I applied for the position of manager of a subsidiary company of the group, one of the links was a speech defense. There are about 10 interviewers, and hundreds of people in various positions are on site. The candidate stood on the stage and answered the interviewer's questions. The environment itself is a huge stress test. Many people stood there shivering, unable to speak fluently. I stood on the competition platform and answered many questions from the interviewer. However, just at the end, the group boss, as an examiner, suddenly asked me a dilemma that I had not prepared or thought about: "Did you apply for a handsome position or a general position?" Are you a handsome boy or a general? Why? " When he asked, I was thinking. I deserve to be the boss, asking such an advanced dilemma. I am ready for other examiners to ask questions. It's just that this question has never occurred to me. This question instantly added a kind of pressure to me. If I answer that I am a general or a handsome talent, then I can't. Because if you are a general and the current manager is still in office, then many managers have not become generals? Maybe they still think they are handsome. If my answer is handsome and there are so many examiners sitting below, I will think I am not modest. At the same time, I also think that no matter what I claim to be, there will be a question behind me: Why are you a general or a handsome talent? What should I use to prove that I am a general or a handsome talent? This is a dilemma, and it can't end. So I had to jump out and answer the question, so I thought for three or two seconds and then replied: "This position (referring to the manager position) is both the position of commander and the position of general, because it is the position of general relative to the group leader and the position of commander relative to the following four or five hundred employees." Then I answered the second question: "If you want to ask me whether I am handsome or a general?" I think you put me in this manager's position, and you also exercised my handsome and versatile talents. Because talents are cultivated, not cultivated. "I also answered the third question by the way. After the answer, the audience applauded. It can be seen that you can't answer such a dilemma. You must jump out and give a wonderful answer.
A unresponsive reaction
In the face of stress tests, there are also some coping skills. Especially when you can't respond at the moment, you can use the following skills to relieve stress and open your mind.
Praise the interviewer's good questions and buy time to think. Although this is a short sentence, your brain is actually searching for the answer quickly. You can even say frankly, "This is a very good question. To be honest, this question is also difficult to answer. Please give me some time to think about it. " This is a very frank technique, because it can first ease the atmosphere and relax yourself, and also avoid deadlock and create greater pressure.
Think for two or three seconds before answering and create a favorable environment for yourself. When candidates encounter stress tests and problems, the more they look into the interviewer's eyes and stare at themselves, the more nervous they become, and finally they are so nervous that they don't know how to answer them. I interviewed a super CEO. Every time I ask a difficult question, he will bend his head and think for two or three seconds, and then his thoughts will come out, and his answers will be orderly and wonderful. The way he avoids the interviewer's eyes and expressions is wonderful, which is equivalent to shielding some factors that interfere with him and creating a quiet and safe state for himself. This is a good behavior habit to deal with stress tests.
Show your true self
No matter how the interviewer interviews, the interviewer always wants to find out the true level of the candidate in the future work environment. No matter how you answer any question, especially the stress test, you should show your true self. Don't try to outsmart yourself. The biggest failure is self-defeating. Instead of showing your true level, you exposed some problems in your quality.
In the case of stress test, the interviewer first looks at your expression changes and the degree and method of emotional control, and judges whether you are calmly dealing with the problem or avoiding the problem, impetuous or witty. If you know that this is a stress test, in general, you will relax, calm down as soon as you relax, and after you calm down, your quick wits will appear.
Relax and be calm, but you can't pretend to be calm. Because once you start to hide yourself, there will be many subsequent actions and words to hide yourself. So I suggest that the applicant, you are you, even if you don't get the position in the end. Otherwise, even if you join this company, you can't stand that kind of environment and leave in a mess. Remember, honest quality is more important than ability.
Change pressure test to quality test.
What if it is something you are really unfamiliar with and there is no answer? The problem of transformation itself. The answer to any question can be converted. The stress test in an interview tests a person's ability to resist stress and mental problems. If the pressure resistance is insufficient, we should learn to turn it into quality display. Honesty is a quality, honesty is a quality. In fact, giving up is also an answer. Not to avoid, but to admit that I haven't thought about this question and don't know how to answer it. This is also a kind of frankness, which is an excellent quality in the workplace, which is equivalent to answering that question. When you can't show your ability, show your quality. Facing the impetuous workplace, honesty is a scarce excellent quality.
Three steps to deal with stress interview
No matter what kind of stress test you face, you should follow the basic presentation procedure. First, show a professional and mature mentality, that is, you must relax and be calm in the face of pressure. Second, show a kind of self-confidence. No matter what questions you have, you must have self-confidence. "I will definitely answer you wonderfully." This kind of self-confidence can lead your thinking mode to success. Third, show your professional ability in the field you are best at. Never go to an unfamiliar place. Take these three steps, and you may answer better than you expected, beyond your normal level. Perform these three steps well, and I believe that life without rehearsal will be more exciting. operate
