Hangzhou Dianzi University is a teaching and research university with outstanding electronic information characteristics and obvious advantages in economic management, with engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and art infiltrating each other.
The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Hangzhou Aviation Industry Finance and Economics School, and went through the periods of Hangzhou Aviation Industry School, Zhejiang Electric Machinery Institute, Zhejiang Machinery Industry School, Hangzhou Radio Industry Management School and Hangzhou Radio Industry School. 1980 Hangzhou institute of electronic technology was established with the approval of the State Council.
