On September 20th, 1952, the adjustment committee of Chongqing University College, with Professor He Lu as its chairman, began to take action. From September 28th to June165438+1October 19, the adjustment and relocation work was basically completed in one and a half months. However, the adjustment of Chongqing University is far from over.

During the "1952" adjustment, only the Institute of Technology maintained its strong strength, because at this time there was only one institute left in the whole project-the Institute of Technology. The Institute of Technology itself has also been hit hard, with all the departments of radio and geology moving out, and all the departments of civil engineering moving out. 1958 added 6 departments of national defense science and technology, 1962 adjusted and merged these 6 departments, and only reserved radio specialty. After the first adjustment, there are six majors in engineering colleges: mechanical manufacturing department, power department, telecommunications department, mining department, metallurgy department and geology department.

The majors after the second adjustment are: mechanical manufacturing department, power department, electrical machinery department, mining department and metallurgy department. So far, there are only five majors.
