It is a member of China-Central and Eastern Europe University Alliance, Yangtze River-Volga River University Alliance, China-US Agricultural Extension Alliance, National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle University Alliance and Chengchuan Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, and the first batch of pilot units of the National Institute of New Rural Development.
The predecessor of Sichuan Agricultural University is Sichuan Tongsheng Agricultural School, which was founded in 1906. It was merged into Sichuan University twice in 1927 and 1935. 1956, the Agricultural College of Sichuan University moved to Ya 'an, the former capital of Xikang Province, and established Sichuan Agricultural College. 1985, it was renamed Sichuan Agricultural University.
As of March 2023, the school has three campuses, namely Ya 'an, Chengdu (Wenjiang) and Dujiangyan, with a total area of about 4,500 mu and a collection of 6,543,800+057,900 books (pieces); There are 26 colleges, 15 research institutes (centers) and 76 undergraduate enrollment majors.
There are 8 post-doctoral research stations, 1 1 doctoral degree-granting disciplines, 49 two disciplines, 1 doctoral degree-granting disciplines, 20 master degree-granting disciplines, 100 two disciplines, 16 master degree-granting disciplines. There are nearly 3,600 faculty members and 45,000 full-time students, including 37,000 undergraduates and 8 100 doctoral and master students.
