Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is an important member of the Pacific Rim University Alliance, the Global Forum of University Presidents, the Association of East Asian Research Universities, and the Association of University Presidents of Asian University Alliance and China. It has passed AACSB and EQUIS certification and is a research university. The school focuses on science and technology and business management, and pays equal attention to humanities and social sciences, especially business and engineering.
