On June 9th, 1958, Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee decided to establish Jiangxi Labor University. On June 19, Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee decided to rename Jiangxi University of Labor as Jiangxi University of Productive Labor. On August 1 day, Dayoushan Sub-branch of Jiangxi Province was established and opened in You Shan Agricultural Reclamation Farm of Xinfeng County;

From July to August, 1985, the school moved to the lakeside of Ganzhou city. 1992 On April 23rd, with the consent of the General Office of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, the school was renamed as Ganzhou Forestry School in Jiangxi Province from No.1 Forestry School in Jiangxi Province.
On April 1 1 day, 2002, Jiangxi Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Jiangxi Vocational College of Environmental Engineering on the basis of Ganzhou Forestry School in Jiangxi Province, and cancelled the establishment of Ganzhou Forestry School in Jiangxi Province. The college is an ordinary university, which mainly runs vocational and technical colleges (specialist level);
