The difference between first-class professors, second-class professors and third-class professors;
A first-class professor is the highest level in the title of professor, and those who are rated as first-class professors are generally academic leaders, that is, academicians. According to the regulations, only academicians can meet the relevant evaluation standards, so there are many disciplines related to natural sciences, and there are fewer first-class professors in social sciences and humanities.
The second-level professor is a level slightly lower than the first-level professor in the title of professor. Professors who are rated as second-level professors are generally leaders close to academia, that is, the main leaders of universities and research institutes. According to the regulations, second-level professors can only meet the relevant evaluation criteria if they make significant contributions in related fields, so there are more related disciplines in natural sciences and fewer second-level professors in social sciences and humanities.
Third-level professors are more common in the title of professor. Professors who are rated as third-level professors are generally full professors who have worked for a long time and made breakthroughs in academia, that is, university presidents, discipline leaders, urban backbones, young elites, researchers who have been engaged in scientific research institutes for many years, etc. Because there are not so many evaluation requirements for third-level professors, there are relatively more third-level professors in social sciences and humanities.
