The development of history

Guilin University of Technology originated from Guilin Geological School established in Guangxi by the former Ministry of Heavy Industry 1956. After five changes of ownership and ten changes of school name, the school successively belongs to the Ministry of Heavy Industry, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Metallurgical Industry Department and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation.

It has been renamed Guilin Geological School, Guangxi Metallurgy College, Guangxi Mining and Metallurgy College, Guilin Metallurgical Geology School, Guangxi Metallurgical Geology School, Guilin Metallurgical Geology Research Institute, Guangxi Metallurgical Geology School, Guilin Metallurgical Geology College, Guilin Institute of Technology and Guilin University of Technology.

1993 was renamed Guilin institute of technology; 1998, the school was transformed into a central local * * * building, and the daily management was mainly local; In 2000 and 2004, the former Nanning Nonferrous Metals Industry School and Guilin Normal School for Nationalities were merged into the school. In 2009, it was renamed Guilin University of Technology.
