The predecessor of Beijing Film Academy was the Performing Arts Research Institute of the Central Film Bureau founded by 1950. 195 1 was renamed as the Film Academy of the Film Bureau of the Central Ministry of Culture, 1953 was renamed as the Beijing Film Academy, and 1956 was finally transformed into the Beijing Film Academy. The Beijing Film Academy has trained more than 20,000 filmmakers for the new China film industry since its establishment more than 60 years ago, and is known as the "cradle of China film talents".

And Yan' an Lu Xun Art College, founded in April 1938. On February 1949, the Central Academy of Drama officially opened. On April 2nd, 1950, the inaugural meeting of the Central Academy of Drama was held, and the name of the school was inscribed by President Mao Zedong.
