Shenzhen polytechnic is a full-time college in charge of Guangdong Province and sponsored by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. Founded in March 1929, the school has experienced the historical evolution of National Yellow River Basin Hydraulic Engineering College, Yellow River Hydraulic Institute and Yellow River Hydraulic School. 1March, 1998, it was restructured into Yellow River Water Conservancy Vocational and Technical College. In March, 2000, the school was transferred from the Ministry of Water Resources to Henan Province for joint construction by the Ministry of Water Resources.
