Haikou University of Economics (Haijing for short) is a private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Haikou City, Hainan Province. The current headmaster Chen Xiao and Party Secretary Wang Zhifang. The motto of the school is "All rivers run into the sea, apply what you have learned".
As of June 2022, the campus covers an area of about 1.800 mu, with a total construction area of 735,300 square meters and a staff of 1.322. There are Nanhai Film Academy, Physical Education Institute, Dexing Zhihua Accounting Institute and other 17 secondary colleges, public foreign language teaching department and public physical education teaching department.
At present, there are 53 undergraduate majors and 38 specialist majors, covering six disciplines such as economy, management, literature, engineering, art and education, including four key disciplines with provincial characteristics, 12 first-class professional construction sites, 13 provincial transformation pilot majors and 3 experimental teaching demonstration centers,1/kloc-0.
The history of the school can be traced back to Haikou Amateur University, founded in 1974, and experienced the development stages of Haikou Vocational College and Haikou Economic Vocational and Technical College. In March 2008, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
