Why Utopia can spread the idea of Renaissance?
During the Renaissance, the emerging bourgeoisie in Europe launched an anti-feudal and anti-theological ideological emancipation movement in the fields of literature, philosophy, art, natural science and technology, and social life customs. The educational thought of Renaissance came into being in this torrent. Many educators in the Renaissance opened up new fields of educational activities and promoted the development of educational theory. Among these complicated educational thoughts, Utopian educational thoughts are unique. Utopian thinkers in the Renaissance described the educational state in an ideal society and expressed their educational thoughts through their own works. From the late Middle Ages, the feudal society in Europe gradually disintegrated and made a transition to a capitalist society. With the germination and development of European capitalism, the emerging bourgeoisie has been growing, and it has launched an anti-feudal and anti-theological struggle in the ideological and cultural field-the Renaissance Movement. Utopia education thought was born in the torrent of this era, which essentially belongs to the category of humanistic education thought and embodies the common characteristics of humanistic thought. Utopian educational thought, like realistic humanistic educational thought, affirms human value, pursues individual liberation and opposes school education. On the issue of education, they advocate that the state should run education; On the principle of education, they advocate universal education and equal opportunities; In terms of educational content, they attach importance to science education, moral education and aesthetic education; In terms of educational methods, they oppose school education and advocate the combination of education and productive labor. Compared with the old scholastic education, Utopian thinkers are more innovative based on reality and human progress, and take the all-round and harmonious development of human body, mind and personality as their educational goal. At the same time, however, utopian thinkers can never leave their time, and utopian educational thoughts will inevitably be branded with the times. Although utopian educational thought has natural limitations, it still ignites the hope of education in the new era and opens up the direction for the development of educational thought in later generations.
