Worldwide, the college entrance examination originated from Protestant countries in the European Reformation in the 6th century/kloc-0. These countries regard education as an important means to win over young people, promote new sects and resist the old religious forces, and force children to go to school to learn reading, writing, arithmetic and religious knowledge, so compulsory education rises.
The earliest compulsory education law for college entrance examination in the world is the School Law promulgated by the German Weimar Principality in 16 19. Parents are required to send their children aged 6- 12 to school, otherwise the government will enforce its obligations. Although the purpose of this law is to educate the people, it is the beginning of compulsory education for college entrance examination.
Since then, in the19th century and the beginning of 20th century, most western and northern European countries have successively promulgated compulsory school entrance laws and implemented compulsory college entrance examination education. Compulsory college entrance examination education originated in Europe. Since the compulsory college entrance examination education was first implemented in Weimar Principality of Germany in the 20th century, after nearly 400 years of historical development, most countries in the world have implemented compulsory college entrance examination education with different years.
As follows:
After the Sui Dynasty unified the whole country, in order to adapt to the development and changes of feudal economic and political relations, expand the requirements of the feudal ruling class to participate in political power, strengthen centralization, restore the power of selecting officials to the central government, and replace the nine-grade system with the imperial examination system. In the third year of Yang Di Daye, Emperor Yangdi set up the Jinshi Department, and selected Jinshi through examinations.
This is the predecessor of the college entrance examination, and it is this move that has brought paranoia and rigidity to the Chinese people and brought the best help to the centralization of the king. From China 1952, combined with the adjustment of higher education layout, colleges and universities all over the country began to implement the national unified entrance examination, which is a symbol of the establishment of the college entrance examination system in New China.
In the meantime, 1966- 1976 stopped enrolling students during the Cultural Revolution (the exam was cancelled after 1972, recommended), and 1977 resumed the college entrance examination. It can be said that China people adopted the college entrance examination as a single-plank bridge selection system, which originated from the long-standing and deep-rooted imperial examination system in China.
This system, like a birthmark, is engraved in the hearts of China people and will never disappear. So, we came to the bustling world. 18 years later, we finally finished the road left by our ancestors and came to a vague intersection.
