(A) the basic connotation of humanistic quality and the current situation of college students' humanistic quality

1. The basic connotation of humanistic quality. Humanism refers to various cultural phenomena in human society. Humanistic quality refers to a person's inherent quality composed of knowledge, ability, concept, emotion, will and other factors, which is mainly manifested in his personality, temperament and accomplishment, including cultural knowledge, moral sentiment, aesthetic accomplishment and pursuit of life realm, as well as personality traits such as psychological quality, way of thinking, interpersonal communication, emotion, outlook on life and value orientation.

2. The present situation of college students' humanistic quality. With the in-depth development of China's opening to the outside world and the establishment of a socialist market economy, various cultures and ideas are scouring each other, values are increasingly diversified, traditional culture is constantly losing, and various non-mainstream consciousness is constantly interfering. Coupled with the problems in our educational concept and system, the humanistic quality education of college students is facing severe challenges. Some college students have some problems in varying degrees, such as chaotic political beliefs, vague ideals and beliefs, distorted value orientation, weak sense of honesty, lack of social responsibility, weak spirit of hard struggle, poor concept of unity and cooperation, and poor psychological quality, which need our attention.

(B) Analysis of the reasons for the lack of humanistic quality of college students

1. The negative influence of foreign ideas and market economy is the realistic root of college students' lack of humanistic quality. At present, China is in a period of social transformation. We accept and blindly learn all kinds of foreign ideas and cultures uncritically, losing the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and paying too much attention to economic interests makes us ignore the education of humanistic quality. While enjoying more material life, college students have become more realistic and utilitarian. The concept of valuing wisdom over morality and academic qualifications over ability has also grown. This neglect of human nature will only make education utilitarian, instrumental and vulgar, and eventually lose the meaning of education.

2. Overspecialization of major setting, specialization and increasing employment pressure are the fundamental reasons for the lack of humanistic quality of college students. For a long time, China's education began to be divided into liberal arts and sciences from middle school, and in the higher education stage, the professional division was more detailed. As soon as students enter school, they are bound by their majors and confined to their own professional fields. With the increasing employment pressure, college students are either busy taking the postgraduate entrance examination, or busy passing the English exam, or busy mastering a skill without paying attention to the study of humanistic knowledge. The value created by human talent has not been fully used to guarantee human freedom, happiness and development. 3. The lack and dilution of teachers' humanistic knowledge and humanistic spirit is the direct reason for the lack of humanistic quality of college students. College students are the future of the country and the pillars of the nation. Scientific Outlook on Development is a concentrated expression of the world outlook and methodology guiding development, and a major strategic thought emphasized by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference in 2006. The improvement of humanistic quality helps college students to firmly establish Scientific Outlook on Development, actively contribute to the construction of a harmonious society, promote college students to deeply understand the basic connotation and historical background of Scientific Outlook on Development, further improve their ability to implement the concept of people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, and promote sound and rapid economic and social development.

(D) Thoughts on further strengthening the humanistic quality education of college students

As far as its goal is concerned, humanistic education is to cultivate people with profound knowledge, freedom of thought, independent personality and perfect mind. It leads the social fashion, leads the humanistic value tendency of individuals and society, and shapes the national spirit. Strengthening the humanistic quality education of college students should be considered from the following aspects.

1. Insist on arming young college students with the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism and strengthen philosophical quality education. Philosophical quality education is the core of humanistic quality education. Marxist philosophy is the scientific world outlook and methodology of the proletariat. We should take more active and effective ways to help college students firmly establish dialectical materialism and historical materialism, learn to analyze the real society and history with dialectical thinking, and understand the relationship between independent individuals and nature, individuals and social groups. By strengthening the education of world outlook, outlook on life and values, college students can understand the world scientifically and comprehensively, deeply understand the meaning of life, develop good values and form independent personality. 2. Enrich and improve the cultural knowledge of college students, and strengthen the education of scientific spirit and attitude. Science is the most basic life concept, cognitive method and thinking method of human beings, and it provides an important value premise for human spiritual construction with a serious attitude. General Secretary Hu Jintao pointed out that to build China into an innovative country in about 15 years, a large number of talents with scientific spirit and attitude are needed. As the future builders and successors of the motherland, college students need us to strengthen the education of scientific spirit and attitude, spread scientific knowledge, scientific methods, scientific ideas and scientific spirit, consolidate the knowledge base, improve the knowledge structure, enrich the knowledge reserve, enable college students to better accept the armed forces of science and technology, and further form a social fashion of stressing science, loving science, learning science and using science, and put it into practice.

5. Improve teachers' humanistic quality and strengthen teachers' moral education. Teachers are the key to the implementation of humanistic quality education. Therefore, teachers should pay attention to the improvement of their own humanistic quality, pay attention to the cultivation of political thought, moral quality, academic attitude, manners and so on. Through the combination of teachers' morality construction and humanistic quality education, through setting an example, commending the advanced, communicating and learning from each other, the humanistic quality of all teachers is improved, so as to cultivate more and more outstanding college students with good humanistic quality.

The final product of education is the formation of personality, that is, the cultivation of students' "spiritual adults".
