Professional school profile:

A vocational school is a school where students acquire the knowledge and skills needed for a certain occupation. They came into being in Europe at the end of 18 and can be divided into primary vocational schools, secondary vocational schools and higher vocational schools. The earliest vocational school in China was born in 1922, which is divided into primary and advanced schools. It was renamed from an industrial school. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), it developed greatly after several times of establishment and closure, 1980.

Developing vocational education is an important way to promote China's economic and social development and employment. Since the reform and opening up, China's vocational education has made great progress, but it is still far from meeting the needs of economic development for skilled technical personnel. In order to promote the further reform and development of vocational education, China's "Outline of Education Reform and Development" proposes that by the end of this century, 50% ~ 70% of junior high school graduates will enter secondary vocational schools or training centers.
