Hankou University is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 2000, formerly known as Hankou Branch of Huazhong Normal University. 20 1 1 It was declared by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education, and was transformed into Hankou College. It is one of the first batch 17 universities in China that were transformed from independent colleges into ordinary private undergraduate colleges.
