Huxian Special Education School is a full-time boarding school that provides nine-year compulsory education and vocational and technical education for disabled children. There are 5 teaching classes (including 3 deaf-mute classes and 2 intelligent classes) and 35 students (including deaf students 15 and 20 mentally retarded students). Although these children are fortunate enough to receive compulsory education, due to limited conditions, they know less about the outside world and usually get less companionship. It is difficult for outsiders to enter their hearts, and the tendency of inferiority is obvious. It is necessary for us college students to become a bridge between society and them, walk into their hearts and bring them happiness and knowledge.

According to the actual situation of Xi 'an's special education, Xi 'an Qizhi School mainly enrolls students in compulsory education this year, and suspends preschool education enrollment this year. In the part of compulsory education, the combination of medical care and nursing is implemented, and both education and medical rehabilitation are equally important. The main task is to ensure the right of mentally retarded children to enjoy compulsory education, and to carry out rehabilitation training, education and teaching in accordance with the experimental program of curriculum setting for mentally retarded schools of the Ministry of Education. Vocational education is mainly based on the actual situation of students, so that students with mental retardation can take care of themselves and master skills as much as possible after receiving vocational education.

In order to provide a good place for children with mental retardation to learn knowledge, rehabilitation training, vocational training and social adaptation, the Xi government has invested more than 26 million yuan to carry out new maintenance and renovation of rehabilitation training buildings, teaching buildings, dormitory buildings and canteens. The size of the school is 18 classes, which can meet the needs of more than 200 students. Under the guidance of the concept of "combination of medicine and education", Xi municipal government invested more than 6 million yuan to equip the school with advanced education, teaching and medical rehabilitation equipment. At the opening ceremony held on June 5438+05, a group of caring units also donated money and materials to Xi 'an Qizhi School.

Xi 'an Blind School for the Deaf was founded in 1949, which is one of the earliest special education schools founded by the Party and the people's government. The school is located at No.98, Zhenhua Road, Anbeiguan, Xi 'an, with an area of13080m2 and a building area of 7500m2. It is "Shaanxi Special Education Normal School" and "Hong Kong and Mainland Information Technology Education Cooperation Experimental Project School". There are 3 pre-school rehabilitation classes for deaf children, 17 nine-year compulsory education classes, 5 higher vocational classes, 3 mentally retarded classes and 4 blind classes.
