Another Indonesian media quoted Indonesian students studying at Sun Yat-sen University as saying that communist education is only for local students in China, and foreign students can take courses such as "Introduction to China". When studying international relations, foreign students can learn all the ideologies in the world, such as communism, liberalism, realism, and even the five principles of Indonesia's founding.
According to Indonesian officials, the Education Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in China called on Indonesian educators to understand the curriculum of China first, so as not to cause anxiety, because the curriculum of international students in China is different from that of local students in China.

China has become the largest destination country for studying abroad in Asia, and Indonesia is one of the largest 10 countries for studying abroad in Chinese mainland. According to the statistics of Indonesian Embassy in China on 20 16, there are currently 14000 Indonesian students studying in China.
