Full-text Translation of A Book with His Wife
The Letter of Confession to Wife is a letter written by Lin Juemin, a revolutionary martyr in the late Qing Dynasty, to his wife Chen Yiying on the evening of April 24th,191. Limited to space, the translation (excerpt from one or two paragraphs) is as follows:

I love my wife, and the words are like a face: now I use this letter to say goodbye to you forever! When writing this letter, I am still alone in this world; By the time you read this letter, I have become a ghost of the underworld. When writing this letter, tears fell with pen and ink. I want to put down my pen when I can't finish writing the letter, but I'm afraid that you don't understand my difficulties, that I have the heart to abandon you to die, and that I don't know that you don't want me to die, so I said these words to you regardless of my grief.

I love you very much, and it is the thought of loving you that makes me die bravely. Since I met you, I have always hoped that all lovers in the world will be well. However, there are blood clouds everywhere, and the streets are full of fierce wolves and dogs. How many can be satisfied? Jiangzhou Sima sympathized with the Pipa girl's experience and shed tears. I can't learn from the sage with high ideological level and forget my feelings.

As the old saying goes, caring people "respect their old people, so as to promote them to respect other people's old people and love their children, so as to promote them to love other people's children". I expand my love for you and help people all over the world to love their loved ones, so I dare to die before you and ignore you.

You can understand how I feel. After crying, you also regard the people in the world as the people you miss. You should be willing to sacrifice the well-being of you and me all your life and seek permanent happiness for the people all over the world. Don't be sad!

The original text (excerpt from one or two paragraphs) is as follows:

I want to say goodbye to you with this book! When I wrote this book, I was still alone in this world; By the time you read this book, I have become a ghost of the underworld. I wrote this book with tears and pen and ink, so I can't stop. I'm afraid you won't pay attention to my intentions, say that I will die without you, and say that I don't know that you don't want me to die, so I will bear the sorrow for you.

I love you, that is, I love you enough to die. Since I met you, I have been wishing all lovers in the world well; However, there are red clouds everywhere, and the streets are full of wolves and dogs. How many can win? Sima Qing, I can't learn much. As the saying goes: the benevolent "is old, and people are old; Young and young, and young people. "

I love you and help the whole world love what they love, so I dare to die before you, regardless of you. You care about my heart, and when you cry, you care about the people of the world. You should be willing to sacrifice your well-being and mine for the happiness of the people of the world. Don't be sad!

Lin Juemin wrote this last letter to his wife Chen Yiying on a white towel. While writing The Wife's Book, Lin Juemin wrote a letter of less than 40 words to his father, Mr. Lin Xiaoying.

After the failure of the uprising, someone secretly put these two letters under Lin Juemin's door in the middle of the night, and the family found them the next morning.
