Taking classes is the only way for an intern teacher. In the week before the internship, our main task is to listen to the original Chinese teacher's class, try our own class and listen to other students' classes. During the whole internship, I listened to two classes as a teacher and 12 students' trial lectures or formal classes, and listened to 28 classes in total. After making full preparations, I began to prepare lessons. The textbook we teach is the Chinese version of the seventh grade textbook. My first lesson is Unit 6, Lesson 23, "Going to Zhong Yong". Because this unit is all in classical Chinese, the teacher instructed me to teach classical Chinese mainly to grasp the interpretation of key words and phrases and to dredge the understanding of meaning, not only to teach them translation in textbooks, but also to teach them how to translate in peacetime. As for the class, at the beginning, it is basically necessary to control the time content through trial lectures. Although I am fully prepared, I am still very nervous. I think the knowledge and content I talked about today will affect the Chinese learning of 48 students. Later, I became familiar with the students and formed a good tacit understanding, so I could arrange the class content reasonably, without trying to give lectures, which was more natural and smooth than at first.
