China Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing was established in 1956, Peking Union Medical College was established in 19 17, and Peking Union Medical College of China Academy of Medical Sciences has implemented an integrated management system since 1957, which is the highest medical research institution and the highest medical education institution in China. Colleges and universities always keep in mind their initial mission, take it as their responsibility to lead the development of medical science and technology education in China and protect people's health, cultivate a large number of talents, achieve fruitful scientific research results, lead the medical industry, and make important contributions to the establishment and development of modern scientific medical system in China.
China Academy of Medical Sciences has 19 research institutes, 6 affiliated hospitals, 9 colleges and 106 off-campus R&D institutions, which is a national comprehensive medical research institution integrating medical teaching, scientific research and production. At present, there are 26 academicians of the two academies, 45 national outstanding scholars, 27 leading talents in the 10,000-person plan, doctoral supervisors 1032, and master supervisors 123 1 person. There are 5 national "double-first-class" construction disciplines, 9 first-class discipline doctoral degree authorization points, and 6 A-level disciplines in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education; At present, there are 6 state key laboratories, 5 national clinical medical research centers, 0/5 other national scientific research bases and 59 provincial and ministerial laboratories.
