Chongqing is the wartime capital of China, the command center of the eastern battlefield of the world anti-fascist war, and the important location of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the leader of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. Therefore, many red revolutionary relics have been preserved: Geleshan Martyrs Cemetery, Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, Comrade Liu Bocheng Memorial Hall, Nie Marshal Exhibition Hall, Hometown Scenic Area, the former site of the Eighth Route Army Office in Chongqing, etc.

1. Geleshan Martyrs Cemetery is located in the northwest suburb of Chongqing. It was the location of the concentration camp of the Institute of Sino-American Cooperation, an international secret service during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period and the War of Liberation. This is a hell on earth where revolutionaries are imprisoned and killed. In order to remember the revolutionary martyrs who died, the Geleshan Revolutionary Memorial Hall was built here, and it was selected into the list of national red tourism classic scenic spots. It has been rated as one hundred "Red Tourism Classic Scenic Spots" in China, a national 4A-level scenic spot, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national patriotic education base for primary and secondary schools. It is a famous red tourist attraction in China. The main red scenic spots are Baigongguan, Zhazidong, Hongyan Soul Exhibition Hall, Hongyan Soul Square, Martyrs' Tomb and Hongyan Cultural Scenic Area, which are good places for red tourism in Chongqing.

Hongyan is the location of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Chongqing office of the Eighth Route Army. Famous scenic spots such as Hongyan Village 13, Zengjiayan No.50, Guiyuan and Xinhua Daily are all here. In order to commemorate the Hongyan spirit, the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum was built here, which is a national 4A scenic spot, selected into the list of national red tourism classic scenic spots, and also rated as one of the top ten red tourist attractions in China. The scenic spot consists of Hongyan Revolution Memorial Hall, China Democratic Party History Exhibition Hall and its affiliated revolutionary sites. It receives more than 6 million tourists every year.

3. Comrade Liu Bocheng Memorial Hall, which was built to commemorate Marshal Liu Bocheng's great achievements, was selected into the list of national red tourism classic scenic spots, and was successively rated as one of the 100 national "red tourism classic scenic spots", the national 4A scenic spot, the national third-class museum and the 30 best new tourist attractions in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and it is a famous red tourist scenic spot in Chongqing. According to the historical track, the exhibition in the memorial hall can be divided into six parts: determination to be a hero, saving the country by the army, agrarian revolution, making outstanding achievements, the war of liberation, outstanding achievements, the founding father, and the legendary life of Marshal Liu Bocheng.
