It doesn't matter if the papers are blank.

This sudden autonomy made me a little overwhelmed. When I was studying in China, I was used to getting a curriculum from my department every semester. Courses and credits are well arranged, and I just need to walk into a fixed classroom at a fixed time. At the end of the term, the teacher will also inform you when and how to take the exam. So when I first arrived in Finland, I was in a daze with a thick study manual, and I was quite confused about the above principles. I can't help complaining: "Why is there no director of education to arrange it?" But now that I think about it, their system is very scientific, which not only has strict basic requirements, but also gives students a relaxed environment to play their potential and expertise.

Interestingly, although I have three exam opportunities, I always try to pass the exam the first time and finish it early. Finnish students are very different. It's the first time for them to participate, but when they get the paper, they usually hand in a blank sheet of paper. This practice is also very reasonable. I have a little idea of the topic, and I will have a little spectrum after reviewing it, so I will be relaxed next time. Moreover, as long as your next level is victory, it has nothing to do with the first blank sheet of paper. I understand the truth, but I can't learn it. It seems that those busy and well-behaved students in China do not have this kind of psychological quality of blank paper. Another example is watching Finnish students drop out of class in the middle of class, and the teacher calmly talks about his class, which is really admirable.

A paradise for learning languages.

Language learning is an important part of Finnish students' learning. Finnish is a small language, which is spoken by less than 5 million people in the world. This fact inspires Finnish students to learn all kinds of foreign languages enthusiastically, and many of them learn Chinese. It should be said that their language learning conditions are very good, education is completely free, foreigners are widely distributed and it is convenient to travel abroad. Turku, a city with a population of only 6.5438+0.7 million, has a large-scale China Research Center with abundant resources. There are all kinds of books about China's history, society, economy and politics, and even copies of newspapers and periodicals of the National People's Congress, which attract many Finns who are interested in China culture.

Because there are a large number of international exchange students every year, the school encourages Finnish students to tutor exchange students, which means to help them settle down and get familiar with Finnish society. My tutor is a girl who studies Chinese. One year later, we have forged a deep friendship, and she intends to apply for an exchange student in China. Finnish students have many opportunities to exchange students, and the time to travel around the world varies from 1 month to 12 years. This exchange program and tutor work have greatly promoted their language learning and broadened their horizons.

Colorful exchange student life

The life of exchange students is colorful, and we are a very unique group on campus. Although I have classes, exams and reports with Finnish students, my life is much happier. Because the exchange program in the field of education is one of the important contents of European integration, the students basically come from within the EU, and a large group of Spaniards, Italians and French make me the only China who is regarded as a treasure. This group of European students, generally around the age of 20, have just arrived at the university gate in China to exchange and make friends. For them, this year's exchange career is to get rid of their father's constant supervision and enjoy life.

I often think that they are too noisy to cherish the opportunity to study abroad. However, more often, I was moved by them. They are so kind and friendly. From strangers to acquaintances, all they need is a smile and a hi. In the daily hugs and kisses, all the happiness will be shared and all the cultural differences will disappear. A small radio and a pot of coffee in the ordinary kitchen are enough to bring a beautiful night to the neighbors on the whole floor. They are all clumsy children, exchanging cooking skills in the kitchen all day. They will admire me for making scrambled eggs with tomatoes, which really satisfies my vanity. It is inferred that the so-called Spanish food and French food I studied are also pediatrics.

Loose academic system and flexible curriculum.

It is never too old to learn. It is very appropriate to use this sentence to describe students in Finnish universities. The education system here is very loose, and each student has his own major and minor. After graduating from high school, you will enter the university. Under normal circumstances, you can get a master's degree in six years (bachelor's degree is not awarded in general universities). But in fact, how to arrange after studying for a few years is entirely your own business. I know that many students have been in school for seven or eight years; There are still many who have studied for two or three years and met good jobs, and then returned to campus a few years later; There are also girls who stop studying for a few years and have children, and then pick up books when the children are older. The credits for getting a degree are very strict, and you can finish it slowly according to your own situation. On the other hand, if you are energetic, it's not that you didn't get a master's degree after four years of high school graduation.

The organization of the course is also very flexible. Every week, the teacher will put a lot of relevant materials about the course in the library, and students can choose to read or copy some according to their own interests. Students and teachers feel natural when they are bored in class and can leave at any time. During the examination, many courses have various forms of examination. If you have a good impression on this course, you can take a written test, write a related paper and get a lot of credits. If you think this course is boring and just want to cope with it, you can simply take a written test in primary school to get a grade and use the saved energy in your favorite course. Even students can decide the date of the exam by themselves. The average school gives three chances. You can take any exam. If you fail the first time or your grades are not satisfactory, you can take the exam next time. The school only records good grades.
