College is located in Zhengding, a national historical and cultural city, and it is a new low-carbon, ecological and intelligent district built by Shijiazhuang Municipal Government. Founded in 1924, formerly known as "Zhili Eighth Normal School". 1933 was renamed "Zhengding Normal School in Hebei Province" after the place name, and 1953 was renamed "Zhengding Normal School in Hebei Province". 1999 began to train junior college students, and in 200 1 year it was renamed as "Zhengding Branch of Shijiazhuang Normal University"; In 2004, it was renamed as "Zhengding Campus of Shijiazhuang University"; In 2007, it was restructured into "Shijiazhuang Vocational College of Science and Technology Engineering" to implement higher vocational education.

There are 27,455 square meters of "teaching, learning and doing" integrated training venues, 53 on-campus training bases and 44 off-campus training bases.
The college has more than 7,000 students, nearly 300 faculty members and 220 full-time teachers. There are departments of economy and trade, management engineering, art and architecture engineering, electromechanical engineering and information engineering. There are 24 majors, including software technology, applied electronic technology, computer application technology, nursing and so on. Among them, logistics management, material forming and control technology are the major supported by the central government, and tourism management is the major of the training base construction project of the central government. Hotel management is a pilot major of modern apprenticeship in the Ministry of Education. Primary education and project cost are provincial key construction majors; Computer application technology and numerical control technology are the key majors at the municipal level, while accounting, marketing, interior design of buildings, preschool education, mobile communication technology, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, computer network technology and flight attendant are the key majors of specialties.
