On June 29th, 2006, the 22nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th NPC revised and passed the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), which came into effect on September 1 2006.

20 15 On April 24th, the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th NPC revised the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) for the first time.

On February 29th, 2006, the 7th meeting of the 13th NPC Standing Committee revised the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) for the second time.
