Weinan Teachers College (Sino-foreign cooperation) is a public school.
Weinan Normal University is a multi-disciplinary and applied local university with teacher education as its main feature. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Weinan Teachers College merged with Weinan Education College.

Russian Research Center and Thailand Research Center were selected as national research centers of the Ministry of Education.
