I am very happy to read the book "Learning and Teaching in the Digital Age" with my school teachers in the summer vacation. In the hot summer, I will read quietly and accumulate and grow.

In this book, I was deeply impressed by the "slow education" teaching of "slow is fast" mentioned by Dr. Wang Xuyi in the 40th lecture. The following are my reflections and feelings on "slow education" according to my own English teaching.

As a young teacher, looking back on his seven-year teaching career, he always spent it in "fast" and "catch up". Preparing lessons before class is eager to write out the teaching process, put the teaching materials into the teaching design step by step, focus on "what to teach", and lack deep thinking on "how to teach" and "when to teach". Classroom teaching is eager to catch up with the progress, holding a limited 40-minute class, instilling knowledge into students, and paying insufficient attention to students' feedback, that is, paying attention to "teacher-centered" and ignoring "student-oriented". After-class reflection is a mere formality. In a few words, it summarizes the shortcomings of classroom teaching content and methods, and fails to deeply reflect on the teaching effect and improve its own teaching.

Reflecting on my own shortcomings in teaching, combined with the influence of "slow education" on English teaching, I will make the following improvements:

First of all, slow down in preparing lessons before class. It is not only to teach students knowledge at the cognitive level, but also to cultivate students' ability to learn and use English language by carefully studying the content of textbooks and the relationship between the content of textbooks and the cultivation of students' ability. Slow down the design of teaching process, change the previous step-by-step model, and think more about "whether changing some teaching processes can make the classroom less rigid and more vivid?" "Can we innovate in teaching methods to make the classroom atmosphere more active and the relationship between teachers and students more harmonious?" I believe that slowing down and thinking more can improve the teaching effect in class.

Secondly, classroom teaching slows down. In the fast-paced classroom teaching, students have no time to think, and their feelings and experiences are often not profound enough. Education is a "slow" art. Only by slowing down in classroom teaching can students have more time to think, feel and experience, gain more knowledge, exercise their abilities and improve their emotional quality. Slow down the speed of classroom teaching-slow down the difficulties, which is the key content of teaching. Slow down when teaching is difficult, give students enough time to taste, think, explore and discover, so that students can learn deeper and remember better. Classroom teaching slows down-students' cooperation slows down. Student cooperation can not only cultivate students' expressive ability and cooperative ability, but also make students collide with each other in cooperation and exchange. Generate sparks of thinking and help students truly feel and experience knowledge. Therefore, it slows down the pace of student cooperation, encourages students to question and innovate boldly, and helps students build confidence in their studies and grow in their communication. Slow down classroom teaching-slow down the generation of classroom resources. Every student is a lively individual with thoughts and feelings, so the classroom is also a lively classroom, and there will be a lively "generation" at any time. Slow down the generation of classroom resources, seize the opportunity, guide students to question, discuss, think and discover, help students solve problems together, and make English classroom a "lively classroom".

Finally, slow down in teaching reflection. Slow down and think, "Is the teaching content of my class complete? Is there anything else to add? " "What needs to be improved in the teaching method of knowledge points, so that students can learn better?" "How can we optimize the classroom arrangement of this course and make the teaching effect better?" Really slow down and think about the shortcomings in teaching, take your own essence and get rid of your own dross. This is the real reflection and can really improve your English teaching level.

Slow education is a kind of quiet education, an education of waiting and an education of thinking. In the future teaching, I will correct my eagerness for success, slow down and lead students to swim in the ocean of knowledge.
