There are Yunnan Normal University, qujing normal College, Yuxi Teachers College, Chuxiong Teachers College, Wenshan College, West Yunnan Science and Technology Teachers College, Lijiang Teachers College, Dehong Teachers College, Kunming Teachers College and other normal colleges.

1. qujing normal College. Located in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, it is a provincial ordinary undergraduate normal college which focuses on humanities, features normal education and serves basic education. The history of the school can be traced back to 1907' s Teachers' College. In March 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, qujing normal College, Qujing Education College and qujing normal School merged to form qujing normal College.

Yunnan Normal University. Yunnan Normal University, located in Kunming, Yunnan Province, was jointly established by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Government of Yunnan Province. It was selected into three local normal universities, the first batch of universities to build a demonstration base for studying in China and the universities to implement the excellent teacher training plan. The second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education and the pilot universities of China government scholarship for overseas students have been identified by the Ministry of Education and Hanban as one of the 10 key universities supporting Chinese teaching in neighboring countries, and they have the right to enroll students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
