The overall strength of the college discipline ranks in the forefront of the country. The first-level discipline of pedagogy was rated as Grade A in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and was approved as the key discipline of climbing the peak in Guangdong Province, and was selected as the leading discipline of the key construction discipline group of high-level universities in Guangdong Province and the key construction discipline of "world-class discipline" in Guangdong Province.

The college has a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-class discipline of education and a postdoctoral research mobile station.
