This major aims to cultivate compound applied talents who meet the needs of socialist market economy construction, have all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, have theoretical knowledge and professional skills in auditing, skillfully use foreign languages and modern information technology, have strong practical ability and innovative spirit, and engage in internal auditing of large and medium-sized enterprise groups and multinational companies.
IAEP project is divided into three levels: elite level, cooperation level and primary level. The education plan of this project has the flexibility to adapt to the global differences, that is, according to the overall requirements of IIA for teaching content, quantity and quality, combining with the original training plan and student status management of the school, the courses are effectively arranged, and students of different majors are encouraged to participate in the study, so as to provide all professional students who want to learn the knowledge and skills of internal audit with the opportunity to receive special education in the school. Nanjing Audit University was officially recognized and approved as a cooperative university by IIA in September 2007, and became one of the 36 universities in the world recognized by IIA to carry out internal audit higher education. Among the 36 universities, there are 5 elite universities, 6 cooperative universities/kloc-0 and 5 junior colleges/kloc-0. Up to now, Nanjing Audit University is also the first higher education cooperation-level institution of internal audit recognized by IIA in China.
