What's the difference between a vocational school and a technical school?
The difference between vocational and technical schools: different academic systems, different training purposes and different graduation certificates.

1, with different educational systems.

Intermediate technicians (technical secondary schools) are usually conducted after the end of nine-year compulsory education, and the level is equivalent to that of high schools. However, ordinary high schools mainly teach basic knowledge, and generally take the general college entrance examination after graduation to prepare for entering universities.

Secondary specialized schools are referred to as technical secondary schools, and their enrollment is included in the national unified recruitment plan. They graduated from the employment registration card (formerly called dispatch card) issued by the employment guidance office of college graduates of the Provincial Personnel Department, and have a complete set of personnel cadre file procedures, providing a large number of secondary professionals and secondary management talents for the society every year.

2. The training purposes are different.

China Institute of Technology pays more attention to the cultivation of professional skills. Generally, after graduation, it has mastered the corresponding professional skills and can be competent for a certain profession when entering the society. At present, there are public and private secondary schools (equivalent to junior high schools and senior high schools). Technical graduates in China can take the adult college entrance examination or be promoted to high-tech, junior college and self-taught undergraduate courses.

Students mainly study secondary professional knowledge at school, and also study culture classes. It is usually carried out after the end of nine-year compulsory education, which has a progressive relationship with the professional knowledge of colleges and universities with corresponding majors.

3. Different diplomas

The general secondary school is supervised and printed by the Provincial Department of Education, and the graduation certificate of the general secondary school is issued. The obvious position of the certificate is marked: a general secondary school in a province.

Graduates of secondary technical schools have obtained intermediate graduation certificates and vocational skills certificates issued by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and have the same high school education as secondary schools and secondary vocational schools. Graduates of senior technical schools who have obtained high-tech diplomas and advanced vocational qualification certificates are treated equally with those with college degrees in policy.
