Strengthening constitutional education is the basis of implementing the basic strategy of "ruling the country by law in an all-round way", the important content of doing ideological and political work well in the new period, and the core of deepening the education of the rule of law. It is necessary to give full play to the role of schools and classrooms as the main channels, be brave in innovation, explore an effective mechanism for all parties to jointly promote, and at the same time accelerate the formation of an educational environment that embodies the spirit of the Constitution. Through participating in the competition, the contestants are encouraged to strengthen Socialism with Chinese characteristics's road confidence, theoretical confidence, institutional confidence and cultural confidence, consciously respect and safeguard the authority of the Constitution, cultivate the rule of law concept of supremacy of the Constitution and equality before the law, and grow into high-quality talents with socialist rule of law concept and legal literacy.
The second national students' activity of "learning and talking about the Constitution" aims to comprehensively promote extensive and in-depth constitutional education in schools at all levels, so that the majority of young students can understand and respect the Constitution, carry forward the spirit of the Constitution, and enhance the concept of the rule of law. Since the launch of 20 17 in May, young students across the country have set off an upsurge of studying the Constitution. After layers of selection, 147 contestants from 3 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions participated in the 6-day national finals. The individual competition is a speech contest. The champions of the primary school group, junior high school group, senior high school group and university group were respectively won by Wang He from Shandong, Guangxi and Guizhou and Zhu Peixin from Tianjin. The team competition consists of three parts: knowledge quiz, keynote speech and free debate. In the end, six teams from Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Shandong, Chongqing and Hainan won the first prize and the special prize of the judges, and will participate in the recording of the CCTV team competition finals.
