Hengshui inner painting is also called Ji School inner painting. Mr. Wang Xisan is the originator of the internal painting of Ji School. The tools used are small brushes with metal hooks, and the pigments are Chinese painting pigments, oil painting pigments and acrylic pigments. On the basis of inheriting the elegance of Beijing school's Magnolia officinalis, Hengshui's internal painting combines the traditional exquisite and smooth painting methods of Lu school, and introduces the techniques of rubbing, rubbing, dyeing, dots, hooks and silk in Chinese painting. Later, it adds oil color to the internal painting techniques, breaking the limitations of traditional watercolor painting and making the picture, shape and spirit of internal painting reach a perfect realm. Wuqiang New Year pictures originated before the Yuan Dynasty and took shape in the early Ming Dynasty. Qianlong and Jiaqing entered their heyday in Qing Dynasty, and together with Yangliuqing in Tianjin, Weifang in Shandong, Taohuawu in Jiangsu and Mianzhu in Sichuan, they are called the five major production bases of China folk woodblock New Year pictures, which are a valuable asset in the treasure house of China folk art.
