This is what we should do when we say "Don't fight for the undefeated".

If you can't win, don't do it. Many people fail because they don't know what to do. As a result, they won't die unless they die.

"Don't shoot" is not equal to "inaction", but to accumulate yourself and wait for the opportunity.

In Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Zhuge Liang just kept doing things, almost had no chance of winning, and was exhausted in the end. Huashan thinks he should wait, wait for the opportunity and exercise. First, strive to live a long life; The second is to make domestic governance prosperous and educate the next generation.

What if we can't wait? I can't wait. Do you still have to have it? You must realize that the world doesn't revolve around you, and you can't handle everything. You should give up when it is time to give up. If you are determined to win, you may be doomed. This is a question of attitude towards life and a question of values.

Reading Sun Tzu's Art of War, so far, the biggest change in old cognition is the attitude towards Zhuge Liang. Whether three heads are better than one, or a feather fan scarf, they are all talking about how wise Zhuge Liang is. But what we see from the Art of War is a different perspective. From the perspective of Sun Tzu's Art of War, Zhuge Liang was completely wrong: he knew he couldn't win, but he still wanted to fight. Knowing that you can't fight, it takes people and money to fight. According to Sun Tzu's Art of War, it is close. If you can't win successfully, there will be no war. What are you doing when you're not fighting? Accumulate yourself, strengthen your strength, wait for the right time, fight again, and make a quick decision.

If you don't die, you won't die In fact, what you are talking about is to keep yourself from being defeated by others and be invincible. If you don't die, you don't move, you just wait. If you don't have the confidence to win, wait for your chance. "Everything is ready only for the east wind", and "east wind" is this opportunity, which was waiting before. Never overestimate yourself, thinking that you can predict what cards your opponent will play. In fact, everyone can only control themselves.

However, I prefer to wait with gaining momentum. Waiting is a static word, not inaction. But in fact, waiting should not just wait there and let time flow away in vain. Waiting is to accumulate strength, and then strike again.

We are always anxious, always impatient and always afraid of missing opportunities. Knowing the value of gaining motivation can help us to be more calm.

There is no high probability of success, just wait until the probability is high enough to act. The probability of winning comes from two aspects: one is the improvement of one's own strength, and the other is the opponent's mistake (or inducing the opponent's mistake with tricks).

Focus on the first point and just be yourself. The other party's mistake is an uncertain event, so just keep some attention.

Cheng Jia mentioned a part-time job in the book "Study hard":

Li Xiaolai also said something similar: College students' part-time jobs depend on what they are doing. If they don't improve their ability and have no compound interest effect, they just want to make money, then this time will be wasted.

If you don't give up small opportunities, make time for yourself to exercise, and accumulate the ability to deserve big opportunities, then you can only have a direct small opportunity. If you only see short-term success and don't see the opportunity cost, you may never be worthy of the success you want.

So when the time is not up, you should be prepared. It's not waiting, it's not fooling around. Save your strength and prepare for the next battle.
