Huangchuan County No.2 Junior Middle School is a glorious school with a long history. Founded in 1905, in the 30th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, it was called Gwangju Middle School. During the Republic of China, it was renamed the Seventh Middle School of Henan Province, with Huangzhong as its capital. It is one of the earliest schools in southern Henan, and 1978 has been designated as a key middle school.
