Comparison of education between the United States and Britain
1. American law stipulates that children between the ages of 6 and 16 must go to school. Public schools in the United States are supported by government taxes, and students are admitted free of charge. Private schools are mostly funded by the church.

2. In America, there were churches and private schools before public schools. Therefore, the traditional education system is decentralized, public and private.

In Britain, all children aged 5 to 16 must receive compulsory education. As far as courses and academic qualifications are concerned, Britain has two different systems, one is the education system in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and the other is the education system in Scotland.

In the British private school system, parents usually have to pay tuition. In the public school system, education is free, and public schools usually do not accept students aged 16.
