The discipline of "Educational Economy and Management" in Beijing Normal University has always been one of the key disciplines in Beijing Normal University. The research direction of educational finance mainly uses public economics and financial management theory to study the system and method of educational cost accounting, educational financial system and its reform.

The direction of education law and education policy mainly studies how the state adjusts various interest relations in education with the help of laws and policies from the macro level, and how the state power can reasonably and effectively intervene in education, so as to promote the improvement of education legal system and the democratization and scientificity of education policy making process.

The research direction of educational administration and school management is mainly to use the theories and methods of modern educational management to study the functional transformation of educational administrative organs and the reform of school internal management system.

The research direction of education management technology and education management information system is mainly to use modern information technology to study the collection, collation, processing and effective utilization of education management information, so as to promote the scientific and modernization of education management means.
