Who is in charge of children's sex education?
Sex education for children should be the responsibility of both families and schools. Family is the most important educator for children. In the process of children's growth, parents should be responsible for providing basic sex education, including transmitting knowledge and values about reproductive health, gender equality, gender identity and sexual orientation. Schools should provide more systematic and comprehensive education in this regard, including teaching knowledge and skills in physical and reproductive health, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, contraceptive measures and sexual violence. In addition, all sectors of society should also assume corresponding responsibilities to provide children with more comprehensive and diversified sex education resources to help them grow up in a healthy, safe and respectful environment.
