Studying abroad, formerly known as studying abroad, generally refers to a person going to a country outside his own country to receive various kinds of education, which can be short-term or long-term (from a few weeks to several years). These people are called "international students". In Chinese mainland, students call studying in Hongkong and Macau studying abroad, because these areas have different education systems. In addition, an overseas short-term exchange program organized by the United States and other countries is called "Study" in English.
The literal translation of "going abroad" is also for studying abroad. Please refer to studying abroad (called overseas exchange in Chinese mainland).
