The Education Department of Guizhou Province undertakes the specific work of the Education Supervision Office of the People's Government of Guizhou Province and the Language and Literature Working Committee of Guizhou Province, and is responsible for implementing the national academic degree system and undertaking the relevant work of the Academic Degree Committee of the People's Government of Guizhou Province.
The main responsibilities of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education:
(a) the implementation of the party and the state's educational principles, policies, laws and regulations, formulate the province's education development plan and guide, coordinate and supervise the implementation, and draft local education regulations and relevant education implementation opinions.
(2) Strengthen the overall management of basic education in the whole province, focus on rural education, promote the balanced development of compulsory education, further tilt public education resources to rural and ethnic areas, promote education equity, guide and evaluate the work of popularizing nine-year compulsory education and eliminating illiteracy among young people.
