Some children yearn for school life, often not for learning, but because of the attractive appearance of the school. For example, school buildings, tables and chairs, paintings on the walls, many classmates together and so on. Some children can't or won't follow the teacher's instructions, can't finish their homework on time, or do it carelessly. For children who are not ready to learn, teachers should take active measures to systematically carry out necessary education. For example, use specific examples to encourage children to study, stimulate their interest in learning, guide children to participate in common activities in class, cultivate their desire to work according to teachers' instructions, teach children to distinguish between learning and games, and concentrate on learning when studying.
This book made me understand the importance of "building relationships". In my previous concept, it seems that the so-called relationship will only be established when the child reaches a certain age. In fact, building relationships with others is one of the most critical and earliest tasks in childhood, and understanding the formation of relationships is the foundation of understanding children's development. The relationship between children initially depends on family relationships. As a system, family is not only the sum of its components, but also a dynamic entity that exists by virtue of its own qualifications. It is the function of the family, not the family structure, that affects children's adaptation, and the quality of the parenting environment is the most decisive and lasting influence. Children's development occurs in the interpersonal environment, mainly in the family environment, and the quality of interpersonal relationship determines adaptation. From birth, children are pre-adapted to establishing relationships with others. Attachment appeared in infancy, and in the following years, it developed from a reflective behavior pattern to a highly selective, planned and flexible response system. It is also important to develop relationships with peers, but this is different from the relationship with parents. Communication with other children helps to learn many social skills and form children's social identity. Peer cooperation can also promote intellectual development, and excluded children are particularly prone to psychological problems in the future.
This book places special emphasis on children's emotional development. Emotion is not completely negative, it is considered to be helpful to social adaptation, and more importantly, it plays an important role in interpersonal relationships. Emotion has a physiological basis and is a part of human talent. Newborns meet their physiological needs through emotions. It is very important for children to learn the ability to adjust and control their emotions. Failure to acquire this skill will bring disastrous consequences to his later social life. The development of this ability is to transfer the external control of caregivers to the self-control of children. This process lasts the whole childhood and involves learning many strategies to regulate self-emotion and its expression.
The book Child Psychology makes a detailed study and analysis of children's psychology from various parts, which gives me a clearer understanding of children. After reading it, I fully realized the difficulty of being a teacher and this sense of responsibility. I should observe every child more carefully and patiently, look at the world with children's eyes, squat down and talk to them, treat myself and students equally, and think and experience with my heart.
