Quanzhou Normal University, located in Quanzhou, one of the three central cities in Fujian Province, is a first-class discipline construction university in Fujian Province, an implementation institution of the excellent teacher training plan of the Ministry of Education, and a demonstration application-oriented undergraduate university in Fujian Province.

Established with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2000, the school is the first newly-built local provincial undergraduate college in Fujian Province, which was formed by the merger of Quanzhou Normal School founded by 1923, Nan 'an Normal School of 1939, Quanzhou Education College of195 and Quanzhou Normal College of 1958.

There are 3 scientific and technological innovation teams, 9 undergraduate teaching teams and 2 graduate tutors in Fujian universities.

The school was selected as the first batch of talent highlands in Quanzhou colleges and became one of the first batch of talent highlands in Quanzhou.
