The Historical Evolution of Weiyuan No.2 Middle School
Before the liberation of No.2 Middle School, it was Huichuan Junior High School, with the establishment of 1944. A preparatory committee was set up in the county, consisting of seven people, including the director, deputy directors Bao (county magistrate) and Zhao, and members Zhao, Hu Minsan, Wang Chongzhi and XX. A preparatory class was held in the barracks of the Kuomintang Self-Defense Force in Panshibao, with more than 30 students. At that time, the principal didn't send it, and the organizing Committee was in charge. Shi Liang is the acting academic director. There are three teachers, including Ji Sifa and Zhang Wenzhi. 1February, 945, Huichuan County Junior High School was formally established at the present school site, and Yu Youren wrote "Huichuan Middle School" in four Chinese characters, hanging the school gate. In the second half of the year, Class A and Class B enrolled more than 70 freshmen. In addition to the original buildings, auditoriums and 8 dormitories (wooden buildings), 20 simple bungalows were built on the north and south sides. 1946 Lu Hongao, who graduated from Bian Jiang Institute of Political Science in Sichuan, was appointed as the principal (Balu, Tianjiahe Township, Weiyuan County). 1In June 1947, Zhao Tang was appointed as the principal,1In June 1948, Hengli (Chen Jiazui, Lintao County, graduated from Sichuan University) was appointed as the principal, a student in five classes, and 13 was a teacher. From June 65438 to July 0949, Qing Chuang (a native of Jianshan, Shangwan Township, Weiyuan County, graduated from the Department of Physical Education of Beijing Normal University) served as the principal until Huichuan was liberated.

Huichuan junior high school before liberation was not only the education center in Huichuan area, but also the activity position in China. At that time, there were 0/3 faculty members, including 0/2 underground party member. They are Ji Sifa, Zhao Shibi, Qiao Junzhen, Qiao Junze, Zhou Shangyuan, Qi Zhuoru, Hou (female) and Hou He. Party member, underground of Huichuan Middle School, is a branch directly under Longyou, with branch secretary Ji Sifa and deputy secretary Hou. Underground party member developed in a single line. Although we don't know it was party member, they all actively worked for the revolution, publicized the Party's oriental aims, revolutionary tasks and goals, and fought against the Kuomintang reactionaries.

1August 949, Huichuan was liberated. In the 1950s, six teaching and research rooms and 32 classrooms were built, and a playground of 14000 square meters was requisitioned. 1957, the number of students increased from 6 classes in 1949 to10/class, including 6 classes in Grade One, 2 classes in Grade Two and 3 classes in Grade Three. There are 620 students, including 68 girls and 36 faculty members.

Before 1957, the school's cultural and sports activities were very active, as if a literary competition would be held at the end of the term to send off every graduate in the form of a literary evening. The programs that participated in the county's "May 1 ST", "May 4 th", "National Day" and "New Year's Day" were written and performed by teachers and students, which were well received by the society. Sports activities include basketball, volleyball, table tennis, kangleqiu, shot put, high jump, long jump, jumping box, uneven bars, rings and track and field sports. Every year, the county will hold a four-day basketball and volleyball match from May Day. In addition to the student team, there is also the teacher's "Lao Wei" basketball team. "Lao Wei" team often won the championship, and the student team won the second, third and fourth place.

In order to encourage children from poor families to go to school, the state grants scholarships every year, and schools give them financial aid in different grades through democratic appraisal according to the degree of students' difficulties.

1958, high school was established, and Huichuan merged with Lintao County to become the fifth middle school in Lintao County. 1962, Huichuan was separated from Lintao County and merged into Weiyuan County. 1963, high school enrollment stopped. 1964 was named Weiyuan No.2 Middle School, and high schools began enrolling students again.

Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Party and the state have attached great importance to education. With the development of education in the county, the construction has a new starting point. 1978 I] 1979 Newly built teachers' dormitory 14 building. From 1980 to 1989, 24 classrooms were newly built, 44 dormitories for teachers and students were rebuilt 12. Since 1990, two single-story teaching and experimental buildings, nine family hospitals, 12 teachers' dormitory and 12 new teachers' dormitory have been built. At the same time, tap water was introduced, ending the history of teachers and students eating well water.

Now, the school covers an area of 54.5 mu, and there are 25 classes, including junior high school 12 class, senior high school 13 class, students 1500 students and 292 faculty members. Organizations include party branch, school committee, guidance office, general affairs office, office, school youth league committee and student union. The guidance office has teaching and research sections for Chinese, politics, history, geography, physics and chemistry, mathematics, foreign languages, music and physique. There are laboratories, video players, film machines and simplified teaching equipment for teaching services. Since 1977, a total of 347 freshmen have been sent to colleges and universities, including 135 junior college students, which has cultivated new forces for socialist construction.
