Knife Tower 2, also known as DOTA2, is a game jointly developed by Ice Frog (Icefrog), the core map maker of DOTA, and Valve Company of the United States. The test was started on April 28th, 20th/Kloc-3rd, and the Chinese name was "Knife Tower", which is the second work in this series.

Knife Tower 2 completely inherited more than 100 heroes of the original DotA, and broke away from the multiplayer real-time battle game of Warcraft III engine that the previous generation DOTA relied on. The world of Knife Tower 2 is composed of two camps, Heaven Back and Nightmare, with three main battle roads connected and rivers as the boundary.

Each camp is guarded by heroes played by five players. They will take the mission of protecting their own ancient relics and destroying the enemy's ancient relics, and win by upgrading their ranks, making money, buying equipment and killing enemy heroes.

Skills:

Every hero usually has four skills, and the fourth is the last skill, commonly known as the big move. When the hero is upgraded, he can get one skill point at a time and upgrade one skill. The highest level of one, two and three skills is level 4, which means he can only upgrade four times. The highest level of four skills is level 3, which means he can only upgrade three times. Level 3 and 4 skills can only be upgraded after Hero Level 6, 12, 18. Skills are divided into active skills and passive skills according to initiative. Active skills can only be effective if the player actively releases them, and passive skills will be effective automatically after upgrading.

In addition to skills, in version 7.0, "Knife Tower 2" changed the yellow dot of the hero's additional basic attribute to talent. When the hero reaches the level of 10/ 15/20/25, you can choose hero talent to gain special attribute bonus or skill improvement. Each level has a unique branch route, and the bypassed branch will not be selected in the future. Every hero has a unique set of talents to choose from.
