Abstract: The current senior high school entrance examination system leads junior high school to the wrong path of exam-oriented education. The school only pays attention to the subjects of the senior high school entrance examination, not the subjects of the non-senior high school entrance examination. However, educational supervision and evaluation did not pay attention to this problem, lacked corresponding inspection and evaluation indicators, and failed to guide school work. We must strengthen quality education and actively improve and seek the balanced development of various disciplines.
Keywords: supervision and evaluation of balanced development of disciplines
Nine-year compulsory education should be a quality education with all-round and balanced development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. Due to the influence of the senior high school entrance examination, in order to pursue the results of the senior high school entrance examination and the enrollment rate, the school only pays attention to the teaching of the senior high school entrance examination; Do not pay attention to non-senior high school entrance examination subjects, from school leaders and class teachers to students, parents and society; Even the teachers who teach these subjects feel that teaching well has little influence on the graduation and further study of schools and students; Even in the education supervision and evaluation scheme, there is no special project to check and evaluate the teaching quality of non-senior high school entrance examination subjects, which implicitly acquiesces or encourages the unbalanced development of undergraduate purposes. In this case, we should improve and perfect the supervision and evaluation system, so that all disciplines in the school can develop in a balanced way.
The first is the "blind area" of educational supervision and evaluation in subject teaching.
According to "Guangzhou Compulsory Education Standardization School Supervision and Acceptance Plan (Trial)" ({1), hereinafter referred to as the plan), the supervision and evaluation of compulsory education standardization schools is an important means to promote the balanced development of compulsory education and comprehensively improve the level of running schools. Every evaluation is a comprehensive, systematic and standardized inspection of the school's work, and the school constantly improves the level of school management and the quality of education and teaching. However, there is a big blind spot-history, geography, biology, computer and other non-joint entrance examination subjects have been completely forgotten!
Article 49 of the plan, "National Curriculum Plan, Curriculum Standards and Textbooks", is devoted to subject teaching. Chinese, mathematics, English, ideology and morality, physical chemistry, although not specifically put forward, are all subjects of examination, and are the focus of all teachers and students, education authorities and society. Articles 50-52 of the program are specifically aimed at physical education and aesthetic education; History, geography, biological computers, not a word. In this way, the consequences are as follows: the school only needs to open enough classes according to the curriculum standards; As for the teaching quality of these subjects, I don't care; Because art and music have special inspection indicators, the school will also pay attention to the collation and collection of data files. History, geography, biology and computers are not even as good as art and music. There is not a word in the whole plan that mentions the relevant information requirements of "balanced development of all disciplines" and "quality education".
The education supervision and evaluation team does not have much time to evaluate the school, and the workload is very heavy, so it is difficult to cover everything, let alone the projects that are not included in the item. Leadership class evaluation is also the seven "blind spots" of the senior high school entrance examination. History, geography, biology and computer have really become "blind spots" for evaluation and investigation.
Second, the subject teaching under the senior high school entrance examination mode is unbalanced.
According to the junior high school graduation unified examination (senior high school entrance examination) system, Chinese, mathematics, English, ideology and morality, physics, chemistry and physical education are unified examinations in the whole city, and the total score of seven subjects is the most important basis for admission to higher schools. The education department can also improve the supervision and evaluation of the running level of a junior high school, but other social departments can only understand and judge the quality of the school through the results of HKCEE. Therefore, under the command of the senior high school entrance examination, the teaching of seven subjects has become the top priority of all the work in the school. "Teaching quality is the lifeline of school work." The "teaching quality" here undoubtedly refers to the seven subjects of the senior high school entrance examination.
Under this senior high school entrance examination mode, the subject teaching in the school is inevitably unbalanced. First, teachers tend to focus on seven major subjects. The school attaches great importance to the allocation of teachers in seven subjects. It not only tries its best to attract and absorb outstanding talents and enrich the teaching staff, but also tries its best to retain outstanding teachers, strive to create the image of "famous teachers and famous schools" and expand the visibility and attraction of the school. The famous school effect dominates the flow of teachers between society and schools. Famous schools have become a gathering place for outstanding talents, and it is difficult for ordinary schools to attract and retain outstanding talents. The consequence is that the gap between famous schools and ordinary schools is getting bigger and bigger. The school also tries to arrange the teaching backbone in the third grade. Because the foundation of senior one and senior two has not been laid well, senior three has spent a lot of effort to make up for it, paying too much attention to the sprint of senior three and ignoring the importance of grasping the foundation of senior one and senior two. For non-senior high school entrance examination subjects, the school will not pay attention to them, and the configuration is uneven, and often non-subject teachers work part-time. The consequence of this is that teachers teach hard and students study hard; School teachers don't attach importance to teaching and students don't like to attach importance to learning. Many students pass the exam with a casual attitude, and the teaching quality is not high.
Second, the flow of students is uneven. Under the influence of famous schools, excellent students flock to famous schools through examinations, transfers and transfers. There are many talents in famous schools, and degrees are very difficult to find. Good students and good teachers, of course, have better teaching quality; However, ordinary schools have insufficient students, difficulties in recruiting students, fewer outstanding students and no advantages in their own teachers, so the gap with famous schools has become even greater. Therefore, these schools are willing to do what they can't do, and they don't pay much attention to the teaching of non-senior high school entrance examination subjects. However, high schools should offer subjects such as history, geography and biology, all of which are college entrance examination subjects. Because the foundation of junior high school is not well laid, it undoubtedly brings great difficulties to the study of senior high school. Both teachers and students need to spend more energy and time and make greater efforts to remedy it, which invisibly increases the burden on teachers and students in senior high schools and affects the improvement of students' overall grades. Third, the balanced development of disciplines is the embodiment of quality education.
Implementing quality education is the need of China's socialist modernization. It embodies the nature, purpose and task of basic education. Advocating quality education is conducive to curbing the tendency of "exam-oriented education" and one-sided pursuit of enrollment rate in basic education at present, and to implementing all-round development education. Judging from the requirements of education facing modernization, the world and the future, quality education is imperative. According to the curriculum of nine-year compulsory education, all subjects offered in junior high school are basic subjects, which belong to cultural and scientific quality, are the basis for students to enter higher education institutions and are an indispensable part of quality education. If we still only pay attention to the subjects of the senior high school entrance examination and ignore the non-senior high school entrance examination subjects, we will return to the old road of "exam-oriented education". Similarly, educational supervision and evaluation, as a comprehensive and integral inspection, supervision, guidance and evaluation of all aspects of school education and teaching, should also pay attention to the balanced development of disciplines and put forward clear and specific requirements for schools in order to implement "improving the quality of school education and teaching". Instead of following the senior high school entrance examination, we only pay attention to the teaching quality of seven subjects and ignore the teaching of other subjects.
Fourth, seek effective strategies for balanced development of disciplines.
Since there is an imbalance in subject teaching in the school, which is out of the track of quality education, as the supervision department that comprehensively inspects and guides the school work, it should correct the current shortcomings, take corresponding countermeasures, and cooperate with the higher authorities to urge the school to fully implement quality education.
1, the education supervision and evaluation plan should increase the specific indicators of quality education, increase the requirement of "all basic subjects offered in junior high schools should develop in a balanced way", have specific indicators and data lists, and urge schools to pay attention to the teaching of non-senior high school entrance examination subjects; On the other hand, actively make suggestions to the higher authorities, reform the subject setting of the senior high school entrance examination, correct the disadvantages of the exam-oriented education from the root of the entrance examination, comprehensively examine the academic level of students, and return the school work to the normal track of quality education.
2. Reform the senior high school entrance examination system. The third grade is the end of nine-year compulsory education, and it is also the stage of further study, so it is inevitable to take the exam. In this case, in order to carry out the purpose of quality education and seek the balanced development of all basic disciplines, all subjects offered according to the junior high school curriculum standards should be tested in a unified way, which will be included in graduation scores as the basis for senior high school entrance. In this way, the school will not only attach importance to the materialization of English politics, but also allocate teachers and resources in a comprehensive and balanced way, and attach importance to the teaching quality of various subjects; Students will not only pay attention to the subjects of the senior high school entrance examination, but also pay attention to the development of partial subjects. In high school, being late is better than never. Parents and society will also clarify the quality education objectives of schools and strengthen supervision and guidance to students.
