Subtitles of Chinese papers (Xiao Er, bold, centered immediately below the main title, with dashes in front of the main text)

English paper subtitle (No.3, font "Times New Roman", centered, English paper theme subtitle may or may not be preceded by dash in English).

(A) the conditions for the establishment of the subtitle

Not all papers need a subtitle, and students can only set a subtitle when writing a paper:

1. The semantic meaning of the title is incomplete, and the specific content in the report paper is supplemented with subtitles.

For example, global tourism: the concept innovation of building a world-class tourist destination-taking Beijing as an example.

The Hierarchical Structure of Interests and the Development of Interest Measurement —— Also on Ichiro Kato's Theory of Interest Measurement

Corporate Governance, Financial Status and Quality of Information Disclosure —— Empirical Evidence from Shenzhen Stock Exchange

On cybersquatting and trademark protection —— From the perspective of "malicious purpose"

On the principle of adjudication--theoretical reflection based on the judicial practice in contemporary China.

2. The main topic is a virtual topic, and the subtitle is a real topic.

For example, some authors quote poems, such as "I recommend Xuanyuan with blood-on Lu Xun's essays in the ten years before and after the May 4th Movement", "Listening to thunder in silence-dialysis of Lu Yao's tragic consciousness from the ordinary world" and so on.

3. Consideration of documents

For example: "Education for China People or Education for China People-Discussion with Professor Wen Rumin"-"On the Philosophy of Law in Classics-Discussion with Professor Ren and Professor Guan Meier"

(B) the principle of subtitle compilation

1. logic

Subtitles supplement and explain the main headings. Therefore, if there is no logical relationship between the main title and the subtitle, the subtitle will lose its value of existence.

2. Accuracy (sex)

Subtitles should be consistent with the content of the article. If the subtitles are inaccurate, it will be counterproductive and mislead readers. No matter from the editor's word processing point of view or from the author's revision point of view, we should try our best to reduce the phenomenon of exaggerating the research content, significance and function of the article with subtitles.

terse

Academic journals generally limit the number of words in the main title of an article, but there is no clear limit on the number of words in the subtitle. However, the subtitle should avoid using tedious adjectives and unnecessary function words, and should not use abstract, empty or uncommon and fabricated words to avoid confusing readers.

4. Easy to retrieve

The subtitle text should provide specific and practical information for retrieval. It is better for the subtitle to contain keywords that reflect the content of the article, so as to avoid ambiguity of the subtitle.
