2. Differences:
Modern distance open education uses computer network and multimedia technology to carry out teaching activities in digital signal environment, which determines that its educational process must reflect students' autonomous learning, students' participation, the application of modern means and the utilization of various media resources. Therefore, autonomous learners must focus on clarifying the difference between modern distance open education and traditional education, grasp the basic characteristics of modern distance open education in terms of educators, educatees, teaching contents, teaching forms and teaching methods, and actively reflect on six aspects: First, they should reflect on the subject of education, that is, ask who is conducting distance education and who or which institutions are providing services; Second, we should reflect on the learning environment, that is, ask ourselves under what environment to learn independently; Third, we should reflect on the way of education, that is, ask the subject of education how to implement education; Fourth, we should reflect on the content of education, that is, what to ask and teach; Fifth, to reflect on my own situation is to ask me what kind of educational services I need; Sixth, to reflect on the effect of education is to ask what role and effect autonomous learning has and why it has such an effect.
First, to reflect on the subject of education is to ask who is providing educational services. In today's diversified educational forms, we can come into contact with different educational subjects, including individuals and groups, realistic institutions and virtual organizations. Different educational subjects have different educational purposes, purposes, motivations and ideas. Different educational subjects, because of their different roles, social status and influence, certainly have different functions and effects in autonomous learning. Therefore, we should actively grasp the characteristics, identities, concepts and purposes of educational subjects and their relationship with their own needs. Radio and TV University is a school without walls. Its teaching information covers the whole country through the satellite TV system provided by the state, and online teaching is carried out nationwide by using computer networks. At the same time, the modern distance education teaching system, which is composed of TV universities at all levels and spread all over the country, can work together at different levels to provide learners with necessary learning resources and learning support services. For example, the course tutor in the face-to-face teaching process and the lecturer in the webcast class are all professional educators; The study group members spontaneously formed among students according to their geographical relationship and personality tendency are all non-professional educators. As for the communication in the network question-and-answer session, it is natural for professional and non-professional to collide and blend.
Second, we should reflect on the learning environment, that is, ask ourselves under what environment we study independently. Open education is not only a form of education, but also an educational concept. It makes full use of social educational resources, modern educational technology and flexible learning support services to provide unlimited learning conditions and a comprehensive and good learning environment for all those who want to learn. Open education in RTVU takes educational technology and media as curriculum carriers, so that the process of teaching and learning can be carried out asynchronously or synchronously, and students mainly study independently in various places. For autonomous learners, the environment can be divided into two categories: hard environment and soft environment. Hard environment refers to explicit educational places, such as schools, collective activities and other public places. What we want to know is what special functions each educational environment has, and what limitations or negative effects each has. Soft environment refers to the hidden economic environment and related technical conditions. Learners' different family economic environments have different driving forces and influences on autonomous learning. A better family economy can have more material conditions to receive and consume education, and the improvement of ability will in turn promote the improvement of living environment and help the continuous improvement of independent learning.
Third, we should reflect on the way of education, that is, ask the subject of education how to implement education. Students in open education are mainly engaged in on-the-job, part-time and autonomous learning, and receive necessary face-to-face counseling and learning support services. There is no fixed class system, and students can arrange their own study according to their learning needs, learning progress and learning methods. For example, the basic principles of open education are equal educational opportunities, lifelong education, distance education, modernization of educational means, socialization of running schools and globalization of educational information. Fourth, we should reflect on the content of education, that is, what to ask and teach. As far as the teaching content is concerned, the courses of RTVU pay more attention to the cultivation of students' practical application ability and the training of operational skills under the premise of covering the basic theories and knowledge of the subject, so as to make them closer to the requirements of real professional posts. In fact, the courses of RTVU include the main contents and processes of teachers' teaching and students' learning, which are reflected in the integrated design of various media teaching materials, mainly including text teaching materials, audio-visual teaching materials, CAI courseware and other types, as well as digital and interactive teaching media and other teaching resources such as computer network, online teaching, online tutoring and VBI teaching information. The teaching materials of RTVU can be described as unique: paying attention to the teaching nature of the teaching materials, striving to be concise and to the point, and highlighting the key points; In knowledge teaching, pay attention to the cultivation of students' learning ability and the guidance of learning methods; The design of content, form, structure and expression of teaching materials pays more attention to the characteristics of adult students in cultural foundation and practical experience; Pay attention to the integrated design of various teaching media and emphasize the comprehensive application of various media and means. Compared with students in traditional education, students in open education have more diversified and personalized characteristics in using various learning resources (including various media teaching materials and various modern means), and the demand for perfect learning support services is more urgent. Students have certain autonomy in course selection and media use, as well as in learning methods, learning progress, learning time and place.
